My latest book is The Crash of Flight 3804: A Lost Spy, A Daughter’s Quest, and the Deadly Politics of the Great Game for Oil https://www.chelseagreen.com/product/the-crash-of-flight-3804 . The work of decades as I investigated my father’s mysterious death in a plane crash, it had the dubious fortune of being published in April in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. All my authors events have canceled. I am trying to make up for lost appearances with zoom sessions, blogs, radio interviews and podcasts. The reviews have been wonderful, but some of the more recent ones have been postponed because everyone’s attention has been on surviving covid 19. In any event, here are some links and reviews.
Seven Days [Vermont’s newsweekly
“Equal parts Thomas L. Friedman and Tom Clancy, the book is a remarkable achievement whose personalized insights on geopolitics are both gripping and sobering.”
Ms. Magazine:
It’s a fascinating and well told tale! I feature it in my most recent column at Ms. [pairing Dennett book with Rachel Maddow’s “Blowout” https://msmagazine.com/2020/03/13/fossil-fuel-violence-demands-a-righteous-babe-response/

July 2020: A delightful review for a general audience by a fellow member of the National Writers Union, who ingenuously writes from the perspective of “Ms. Hen”:

April 2020: David Swanson, anti-war activist par excellence, did one of the first reviews in World Against War:
Podcast, radio and Zoom interviews:
July 2020: One of my favorites, with bestselling author Naomi Wolf. She “get’s it,” and her reaction as an American Jew is particularly revealing….
July 2020: A panel of four whistleblowers (yours truly included) for the annual whistleblower conference, normally held in Washington DC, but due to pandemic, on zoom.

Here’s a review of the panel: https://www.opednews.com/articles/2020-Annual-Whistleblower-by-Marta-Steele-2020_Activist_Assassination_Corruption-200731-993.html:
“The four panelists, all expert whistleblowers who have spoken truth to power, included Charlotte Dennett, author of The Crash of Flight 3804, the story of her investigations into the death of her father in a plane crash en route to report on his work investigating the huge oil industries in the Middle East.
Wayne Madsen, author of 18 books and master investigative reporter, began this segment of his career with “an A to Z encyclopedia of covert groups focused on the most sensitive issues on Earth, encompassing the intelligence backgrounds of U.S. politicians and judges before they were elected to office.”
Former Alabama governor Don Siegelman told his story of a meteoric career up the political ranks in the bright red state of Alabama despite his extremely progressive background and how Karl Rove and his cronies stepped in to ruin him even as he was being short-listed as a Democratic candidate for president in the 2004 general election. He has recently published an amazing memoir, Stealing Our Democracy: How the Political Assassination of a Governor Threatens Our Nation.
Dr. William Pepper, a close associate of both Robert F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr. in the 1960s, told an amazing life story of investigating the assassinations of both, risking his life in the process.
July 2020: A “conversation” with retired diplomat Ann Wright and former CIA analysist, Ray McGovern, on the theme of Have American Intelligence and Democracy been Corrupted by Oil, Money and Power”.

This was a lively exchange, and received a lot of positive responses from people who watched it.
April, 2020: My very first radio interview with investigative journalist Kristina Borjesson. Wide ranging, and addresses many important historical points in the Great Game for Oil.
